She is a Mexican American ex-pat living in the UK.

Our conversation ranges from vampires and horror to erotica and female/Latino representation in the genre. We also touch upon Nic Cage, Murder Hornets and life under quarantine. It’s a mixed bag and it’s a blast.

Well, actually we watched PORNO, a new horror/comedy presented by Fangoria and available for a limited time on on-demand with proceeds going to select movie theaters around the country. Hunter and Jack chose to support their longtime favorite, the Alamo Drafthouse.

What happens when a group of teens working at a small movie theater accidentally unleash a succubus from a cursed film? Mayhem, sex, violence and a lot of laughs.

This particular show really sums up what our Horror Hangouts are all about; a great, and often hilarious conversation that ranges from Guns ‘n Roses to drinking with minor league pro-wrestlers. Oh, and don’t worry, there is plenty of horror talk, including Glenn’s new vampire novel, Until Summer Comes Around, which comes out in May of 2020.

The Monster Men Thanksgiving Special: Cornucopia of Horror – Ep. 136

Happy Thanksgiving! On this episode of Monster Men, Hunter surprises Jack with a Thanksgiving meal like you’ve never seen before. In the spirit of our wine and pumpkin ale tasting episodes, we decided this year to shift our focus to food. (If you can call it that.)

This scary meal consists of things like canned, green boiled peanuts, canned chicken Vienna sausages, turkey baby food, and avocado & pea baby food, pickled turnips,  toddler meatloaf & potatoes and some Spam and donuts for dessert. It’s disgusting… and pretty amusing to watch these two knuckleheads put this in their mouths.

So, pull up a chair and join us for the most terrifying Thanksgiving meal ever.

New Jersey Myths and Monsters with Tim Meyer

The Monster Men are happy to welcome author Tim Meyer to the show as he takes us on a journey to the creepy side of New Jersey. Tim is a long time friend of the show and one hell of a writer. We are so happy to finally have him on.

To help celebrate the release of Hunter’s new book, THE JERSEY DEVIL, Tim and Hunter recently co-hosted a book-signing event in a microbrewery in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey. It does not get much cooler than that. This got us thinking that the Garden State probably deserved a show dedicated to all of it’s bizarre legends and monsters. And who better to guide us than Tim?

Tim Meyer has an impressive body of work, which you should check out as soon a you can. His books include the short story collection, “Worlds Between My Teeth” as well as novels like IN THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS, LESS THAN HUMAN, THE THIN VEIL, the SUNFALL series and the DEMON BLOOD series.

They Rise, Deadpool and Bizarro Fiction

Monster Men Episode 99: This time on Monster Men we are talking books and movies. First Jack reviews the hilarious superhero romp, Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds. Then he visits the ghostly gothic Crimson Peak and finishes out the segment with a fun little monster movie on Netflix called Stung.

Then Hunter takes the wheel to discuss the works of Carlton Mellick III, one of the greats in a genre called Bizarro Fiction. His works include such titles as Apeshit and Clusterfuck.
