0

Spring is here! The weather is warming up and the trees are blooming. What better time to unleash the Antarctic Ice Beasts upon the world? Antarctic Ice Beasts is the latest novel from Hunter Shea and it’s the main topic on this episode of Monster Men.

Here’s the synopsis:
The South Pole in winter is one of the deadliest places on Earth. The seven person crew of the US Freedom Base lives alone in months of utter darkness with no hope of help or rescue. A freak storm batters the walls and threatens to expose them to the deadly cold. All they can do is wait…and pray.

The ground quakes. An alien screech rips through the night. There’s something, or someone, lurking outside. Fists bang on the walls. Each tiny crack in the base spells death by hypothermia. Untold horrors have come to Freedom Base…and they want in!

The Monster Men Thanksgiving Special: Cornucopia of Horror – Ep. 136

Happy Thanksgiving! On this episode of Monster Men, Hunter surprises Jack with a Thanksgiving meal like you’ve never seen before. In the spirit of our wine and pumpkin ale tasting episodes, we decided this year to shift our focus to food. (If you can call it that.)

This scary meal consists of things like canned, green boiled peanuts, canned chicken Vienna sausages, turkey baby food, and avocado & pea baby food, pickled turnips,  toddler meatloaf & potatoes and some Spam and donuts for dessert. It’s disgusting… and pretty amusing to watch these two knuckleheads put this in their mouths.

So, pull up a chair and join us for the most terrifying Thanksgiving meal ever.

Stephen King: Let’s Talk About the King of Horror – Monster Men Ep: 135

0

Hail to the king! On this episode of Monster Men, we discuss the movies and some of the books of Stephen King. While he is an undisputed legend of the genre, and a genius, not all of his films and novels are created equal.

This show, as with many Monster Men episodes, was completely spontaneous, so what you get is an honest, barroom conversation about the highs and lows of the King filmography… in our opinion, of course.

Movies and books discussed include Salem’s Lot, The Mist, Cujo, PerSemetary, It, Firestarter, Misery, Stand By Me, The Tommyknockers, The Night Flyer, Carrie, The Shawshank Redemption, The Shining, The Green Mile, Delores Claiborne, Creepshow, 1408, Children of the Corn, The Dead Zone, Maximum Overdrive, The Shawshank Redemption, Christine and more.
