It’s another Monster Men Horror Hangout. This time welcome the delightful V. Castro (Violet) to the show. She is the author of Hairspray and Switchblades, Maria The Wanted and the Legacy of The Keepers, as well as her debut vampire novel series and The Erotic Modern Life of Malinalli the Vampire- an erotic novella series. She is a Mexican American ex-pat living in the UK.

Our conversation ranges from vampires and horror to erotica and female/Latino representation in the genre. We also touch upon Nic Cage, Murder Hornets and life under quarantine. It’s a mixed bag and it’s a blast.

Vampires! Great Movies & Books with Jonathan Janz

Vampires! Looking for a good vampire movie this Halloween or maybe a good book about bloodsuckers? We’ve got you covered.

Everybody loves a good vampire movie or book, but these days they can be hard to find. We’re talking about good, old-fashioned vampires. The kind that are scary, seductive and evil.

On this episode of the Monster Men video podcast, we discuss some great vampire movies from all eras and a few that you may not have heard of or seen. We also cover a number of new and classic vampire novels. Some of the best vampire stories are found in a book rather than a TV show or film.

We welcome back guest Jonathan Janz, author of the western vampire novel, DUST DEVILS. This book is a must read for vampire fans and harkens back to classics like Fright Night and Near Dark.

Episode 50! The Men Who Were Dracula

If you told us when we were recording our first Monster Men podcast that we would still be rolling along 49 episodes later, we would have probably laughed you out of the Monster Men Studio. Goes to show what we know.

We started this madness talking about vampires, so we figured it’s only right to celebrate our 50th episode waxing poetic about the men who played Dracula throughout the last 90 years. Grab a pint of blood, relax your bat wings and join the celebration. And while you’re at it, tell us who your favorite Dracula was in the movies.
