The Monster Men are thrilled to welcome back one of the true good guys of horror, Tim Waggoner. to say he is prolific is a gross understatement. Aside from penning Bram Stoker Award winning original tales and his incredible Writing in the Dark, he’s also the master of the movie novelization.
His latest project is the upcoming novelization of the best horror trilogy of the 21st century, Ti West’s X, Pearl, and Maxxine.
Horrortober is here and that means it’s time to start watching horror movies as much as you can. As usual, the Monster Men are here to help. We’ve got 31 movies for the 31 days of October. We have rolled an amazing watch list using the dice game/book, 31 Days of Terror. This is the official horror movie handbook for all serious fright film fanatics.
Our pal, author Steve Hutchison, continues to set the bar, adding new movies and a couple of new star contributors. That’s right, the year Jack and Hunter have been added to the roster and are included in the book. We are thrilled to be in such esteemed, creepy company. How does the game work? Easy. Just roll the dice and follow the book as it takes you into a dark labyrinth of films. Watch us unveil our list and use it… or better yet, buy a copy of the book and set your own October viewing list. He also has a funny story about the time he saw the Warrens.

Talk about prolific! Author Armand Rosamilia has written more books than most people have owned underwear! Having navigated a successful career of traditional and self-publishing, we pin the man himself down to give us some tips on how to succeed as a self-published author.
Before we dig into that, we discuss obscure Marvel titles that would make great movies and then talk about his latest book, a collection of his short stories titled Make Pretend: The Complete Short Fiction of Armand Rosamilia.
The man is a master of many genres and we can all learn a little from him. You can buy his short story collection at https://www.amazon.com/Make-Pretend-C…
The Monster Men welcome back the man himself, author Terry M West, to the show. Some people say that we are living in the new golden age of horror movies. Well, the belt holder for the decade of the BEST horror made for TV movies was, is and always will be the 70s. Jack, Hunter and Terry wax poetic over a cavalcade of 70s horror classics like The Night Stalker, Trilogy of Terror, Duel, and dozens of other found and hidden gems that hit the airwaves during a presidential resignation, gas crisis, hostage crisis, and overall identity crisis. Build your to-watch list and let us know your own personal favorites.
Look! Up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s a… a tic tac! This is the episode Hunter has been waiting for since the Monster Men crawled out of the muck and into the interwebs. Join us as we talk UFOs (or as some call them now, UAPs) with one of the world’s leading Ufologists, Ryan Sprague, the author of Somewhere in the Skies and host of the podcast of the very same name. We’re talking about government disclosure, real life encounters, horror at a drive-in, terrifying abductions and more. Trust us. After this one, you’ll all keep your eyes on the skies!
It’s that time of year again, monster boys and girls. Horrortober is upon us, and who doesn’t want to fill their days and nights with a little blood and guts, screams and scares? Author Steve Hutchison has done it again, filling the pages with new categories and a host of movies to tickle your horror bone.
Looking for something new to watch or revisit a lost classic? Just roll the dice and follow the book as it takes you down a path of darkness and delight. Jack and Hunter pony up to the craps – we mean, 31 Days of Terror table – and get to rolling. What follows is an unexpected viewing list, curated by the book and the fickle finger of fate. Play and watch along, or grab a copy of the book and set your own viewing list that will take you all throughout Horrortober and deep into Halloween night.
It’s another Monster Men Horror Hangout. This time welcome the delightful V. Castro (Violet) to the show. She is the author of Hairspray and Switchblades, Maria The Wanted and the Legacy of The Keepers, as well as her debut vampire novel series and The Erotic Modern Life of Malinalli the Vampire- an erotic novella series. She is a Mexican American ex-pat living in the UK.
Our conversation ranges from vampires and horror to erotica and female/Latino representation in the genre. We also touch upon Nic Cage, Murder Hornets and life under quarantine. It’s a mixed bag and it’s a blast.
It’s time for the Monster Men to answer your questions. We asked our viewers to submit their questions and boy, did they step up. We’ve got a great show that covers everything from horror movies to the paranormal.
Some examples include:
Who are your favorite modern horror directors?
What’s the movie you disagree on the most?
Has any horror book ever TRULY scared you to the point you had to set it aside?
What haunted place would you like to visit?
What is the absolute worst movie you have watched?
Thanks for your questions. We hope you enjoy our answers.
