When Stephen King announced he was going to release a sequel to his masterpiece, The Shining, we here at Monster Men HQ were skeptical. What were the odds that a book about a middle-aged Danny Torrance could hold our attention and scare the pants off us?

Well, there’s a damn good reason why Stephen King is called a Horror Master. It took guts to even attempt making a sequel, and talent to craft a story so spellbinding. Find out more in our latest episode and pick up your copy.

Redrum, baby! Redrum.

The Cursed Man Meets The Monster Men: Keith Rommel Interview

0

The Monster Men are very happy to present an interview with author Keith Rommel. This was one of our favorite episodes we have ever recorded. We are sure you’re going to enjoy it.

Keith is the author of THE CURSED MAN, an incredibly original, creepy and entertaining book that is also currently in production as a movie. It’s a great read. This, along with his other books, THE LURKING MAN and the upcoming THE SINFUL MAN, are part of his Thanatology Series. The Encyclopedia Britannica defines Thanatology as “the description or study of death and dying and the psychological mechanisms of dealing with them.” That should set the stage for you.

Here’s the description for THE CURSED MAN:

Alister Kunkle believes death is in love with him.  A simple smile from friend or stranger is all it takes to encourage death to kill.

With his family deceased and a path of destruction behind him, Alister sits inside a mental institution, sworn to silence and separated from the rest of the world, haunted by his inability to escape death’s preferential treatment.

But when a beautiful psychologist arrives at the institution and starts offering him care, Alister braces himself for more killings.  When none follow, he tries to figure out whether he truly is insane or if death has finally come to him in the form of a woman.

Keith is a fantastic author and a person to keep your eye on. His work is turning a lot of heads and is being described as being in the spirit of Stephen King. High praise indeed.

Keith is also great guy and has absolutely cemented his place as a Monster Man. As you watch this interview, you can’t help but like him. He’s friendly, entertaining and quite candid. We learned the stories behind his books as well as what it’s like to have one of your novels made into a film. It is fascinating. We also partake in some great horror movie and TV talk, as is par for the course on the Monster Men video podcast.

For all things Keith Rommel, visit his website at http://keithrommel.weebly.com and pick up his books on Amazon.
